HRC Nerd damper shaft for Yokomo Big Bore with damping force adjustment 2pcs
Contains 2x damper shafts, pistons and aluminium adjustment dials. Dampers/springs/retainers shown for example only, not included. Overdose or HRC damper oil is must be used. HRC Adjustable spring retainers are required and you can find them here.
Damping force adjustment function
Equipped with DFA mechanism (DAMPING FORCE ADJUSTMENT) "Patent pending"
The damping force of the damper can be changed by turning the dial (12 rotations). It
is possible to finely change the setting according to the driving scene and the machine , such as suppressing roll and pitching to increase the sense of stability .
We have fundamentally reviewed the construction of conventional radio-controlled oil dampers. The nerd damper
succeeds in flowing oil in the shaft like a shock of an actual vehicle . As a result, unlike flowing oil through the piston hole, suppleness and
response have been improved, road surface followability has been improved, and traction has been improved over the entire area, achieving excellent damping force characteristics.
Dedicated damper piston
By increasing the piston thickness, the damper rigidity is increased and the backlash during the stroke is greatly reduced.
Furthermore, the piston material has been reviewed to reduce friction, and the shape of the surface that the piston hits is also considered.
Damper shaft surface treatment
The shaft surface is ▽▽▽▽ + processed The
damper shaft body that comes into contact with the O-ring has been reviewed from the stainless steel material to reduce friction, and has excellent wear resistance.
By super-mirror finish, we promise a supple and stable stroke.
Included items: Nard damper shaft body, dedicated piston, damping force adjustment dial
* Please use a commercially available O-ring for 3mm shaft. (X ring recommended)
* Please use Nd oil for damper oil only for nerd dampers.
* Cylinders, damper caps, diaphragms, rod guides, etc. are not included in the product. Please use Tamiya (TRF) products. Please use

Spring retainer is made with screw type for nerd damper.
Preload can be adjusted to spring on the retainer side.
In addition, the mounting position of the ball end can be moved up and down, so the total length of the damper can be adjusted.
By fixing the retainer with a pillow ball, it becomes easier to adjust the damping dial by holding the retainer by hand.
Details will be explained on the HRC blog. users had
a damping force adjustment method
red of the dial - soft to be turned towards the, + by turning to the side will be more and more hard
-click (damping force adjustment dial) is rotated in a clockwise direction, perching point is 0-stage (most attenuated The number of stages with high power).
If you rotate it counterclockwise based on this 0 step, the damping force will decrease.
The weakest is the place where 12 rotations are made counting from 0 steps (the number of steps with the lowest damping force).
If you don't know how many rotations you have made, return it to 0 and then make adjustments again.
